The episode was great, but...

I just want to let you know that the credits were enlarged too much at the end and didn't fit completely on the screen.

Otherwise, excellent job and best of luck with the success of Larry! :D

Adios! *poof*

thanks man
i just updated the swf file and hopefuly resolved the credit screen problem.

I can relate...in a way

My life followed a similar path when I was younger, but not this extent.

*Thinks to self* I'm pretty sure it was barbed wire around a wooden block instead of nails *Ends thinking to self*

While most people rather like the Russian within this vid, I found it to be more of a distraction because I had to pay attention to the subtitles and that kept me away from actually watching most of it.

I don't mean to be rude, but I don't really think this video deserves to have such a high rating, as of right now. I can see it maybe having a 4.1 to 4.2, but nothing higher.

I also thought the video was ending more than a few times before I was literally thrown another clip. In seeing this, I thought it would work better if maybe the clips were in separate submissions, even though they all followed the same theme.

Good work, but not great work.

ok :P

Bravo for your first Flash!!!

I'll just state this to clear it up. I have read the story that this Flash is based off of and I know for a fact it has nothing to do with the other "Paladin" series. It's based off of the Yugioh creatures. No it's not some stupid card thing we're gonna see again. It's the actual creatures living out their own lives, which sounds pretty cool when you think about it.

The voice was a little loud, but I'm not gonna discredit you for that because this technically is your first Flash submission that really means something. You were just precautious is all. The voice could go a little deeper, but from looking at The Paladin Of White Dragon card it actually fits quite a bit. In the picture, the creature looks rather young and might have a little bit higher of a tone.

I liked the music choice at the end. Simple, yet very effective. In all honesty, I got goosebumps. NOT KIDDING!!!

Bottom line, you deserve a good score. It needs work, so I'll skip on the 10...sorry! Of course, I happen to know the work you poured in to the book version itself. Not to mention, trying to fit it all together as a Flash too. Hard work pays off and for a first Flash, I don't think you can expect that much better than this. Good artwork too! Adios! *poof*

Thanks for the great review!

Wait... since when do rebels go *poof*?

Full of AMAZINGNESSESTICABLETION!!!

I just have to say that your TANKMEN series, so far, makes me laugh more than anything else on the internet right now! I've told so many of my friends at Legend Zero about it (website: not putting on the address so people think I'm trying to push in a shameful plug. I just don't feel like mentioning all their names anyway, because I probably would.). Anyway, they all loved it and totally can't wait wait for another.

Keep up the good work! I'm so serious when I say that, you deserve a cookie! This will be a truly delicious cookie of your choice!!! A cookie that is non-violent and will not start an arguement about paper football, because we all know where that will go!!! Adios! *poof*

thanks

It held up well, but is missing a couple things...

I happen to be a personal fan of many of Frank Miller's graphic novels. You pretty much have a very simple idea of what type of art Frank used for his Sin City line, but you're missing some very key qualities.

Most of the art in Sin City was very detailed. I don't know how long you've been doing flash, but I would actually like to see the faces of your characters and possibly make it less...square-like. Don't leave them black and white you lose the emotion and expressions they could have.

Some of the movements in this movie, while still pulling off as good, is only sub-par. Sometimes it looked like your characters and vehicles were struggling to move the correct way. I don't know if anyone else might have seen what I saw, but I'm sure somebody else could tell you that too.

Besides those two critical keys of importance, you have done a very good job on this flash. I look forward to many more "Principled Depravity" movies in the future. Until next time...Adios! *poof*

LogFish responds:

Hey - yea thanks a lot for the handy review! It cements my thought too, which was yes - if this was supposed to be Frank-Miller-y, it's got a bit of a ways to go. To have emotion etc. on the faces I'd actually have to animate something in Flash and I wasn't prepared to bother doing that - this was more just for my fun, to do it all with imported Swift3D renders - I think there's about 20 genuine flash symbols in this entire movie heh. Anyway, Swift3D doesn't have the complexity for good faces yet - however if I get my act together I can import then from 3DSM, but 3DSM is so hard to use it makes me cry. (ie. I suck at it).

But thank you, yes it's a lofty goal there but it's worth working a bit closer - you're right on! Cheers for taking the time to review.

Eh...well, it was enjoyable

Not bad. Short, a little funny, and to the point...literally. Good job.

JoelR responds:

Thanks man, I love getting positive comments.

Well, it confused me

I lost it when Hortencate was flashing like crazy. I might have bit my tongue off after seeing that part...nope still there thank goodness. Very nteresting and yet not at same time. I don't what to say. I was totally lost in the fabrics of time trying to figure out what was going on. Besides that it was pretty cool.

The South Park Theme RULES!

Keep working on this. It could be an interesting South Park themed parody. I really liked it. Good job!

Nahkoten responds:

Thank you :D I'm planning to do something more with this later~!

I laughed my butt off, but it was stupid

Besides the fact that it is crazy enough to make people laugh, this movie totally deserves to be sent to the firey pits of John Goodman's underwear where it will suffer through constant torment as it slowly is covered by mysterious gases which by educated guess alone is 70 bean burritos that he ate yesterday.

Well, graphics good, rest of it not so good

My favorite thing about this was the graphics and thats enough said. The rest was mush and sorry, but ninjas deserve better : (

PureCarnage responds:

ha... can't stress enough that it's a battle flash, you'll understand it one day and see the humor... until then, UNS 5 may be more to your liking.

UNS 4 is graphically better.
